PMS & end of month

… equals to this after-life mode I’ve entered into for these last three days. In fact, I’ve been dead for so long now, that I simply can’t imagine why my corpse insists on wandering around. Haunting my murderers has long ceased to be fun, pretending to be alive and enthousiastic is something far beyond my strenghts. After all, it’s so darn simple to click on the quit button and go directly from the after-life into vanishing… but then again, dead beings have no will… nor fingers to do it, have them ? ahahah

As I move forward and learn about the world I realize that in this after-life of mine all I can do is sharing my weak wisdom with the younger ones who still struggle to find themselves and drop on them some useful insights, such as the importance of free-choice. After all, life is just a travel through self-knowledge, and it’s up to each one to choose where to go, when, how and with whom.

Thus, if you want to live, open yourself and let the world come into you. Invite people around you to set home in your heart and pick up some divinity to live in your soul. After that, you will only need to let yourself go. Don’t be afraid of hurting or being hurt – it won’t kill you and it won’t kill the ones around you, it will merely teach you all some lessons about life itself. You will fall, for sure, but you will get up on your feet sooner or later. Face the unknown and challenge it to play with you. And before you know it, you will see how fulfilling it all can be.

Above all – don’t waste too much time thinking. Some of the replies are too complex for us to understand their full meaning, so there’s really no point on asking the questions. Therefore, stretch your wings and breathe in and out, deeply. Silent your mind and open your heart… you’ll do just great !

(so, you may ask, what skills do I have to teach classes on Life ? Well, I’ve been there and I’ve learnt – hope that is enough. No, I am no Guru nor have any diplomas. But I’ve been paying attention for the last 42 years and now – while I wait for the next stage to come – is where I have time on my hands to at least try to help you keeping ghosts and fears out of the way :P)

Learning – part II

As if it wasn’t enough for the evening, just after the Meditation session I tell you about just below, Hermes announced a friend of his was giving a lecture on Relationships in and beyond SL. Oh my ! Yes I started thinking I would be late for the rezzday part, but how could I resist such a topic ?

And so I flew away to another point of in Pandara island. which is a place dedicated to arts and knowledge, an offer to all in-world residents from this generous lady called Lissi Desideri (yes, go there NOW and check it out – and donate! for this is a place that surely deserve to be supported).

I got to the place, found myself a sit and waited for the lecturer to start talking. And as he did… I started taking notes. At the end of two hours I had two pages filled with handwrite notes, most of them direct quotes of what he had been speaking about. His in-world name is Brock Palmer, and in Fl he is an experienced conferencist and currently writing a book on this fascinating theme.

He guided us from our birth to our present times, helping us to understand how we react before others as we do. He spoke about expectations and judgements; guys and girls different perspectives and ways to connect; connections and break-ups, communication; behaviour patterns – how to identify them, how to change them – oh dear, I could go on and on…

It may be true that most of the things he told us are those things we already know, but in a sort of an empirical, diffuse and vague way. What a difference does it make to actually listening to someone saying them !! At a point, he taught us four techniques to shut up our mind, or slow it down – in order for us to regain control during a fight or whenever we feel really hurt by something that is going on. This will help establishing new paces with the communication pattern we have established with the one we are speaking with.

I am not going into much details, instead I would challenge you to attend ONE of this guy’s conferences. They happen every Saturday at 1 pm at the Wisdom and Enlightenment Center and are totally worth our time ! But before I close the subject in here, I leave with just two thoughts:

“We learn who we are by experiencing who we are not”
“Minds create problems in order to solve them… if not, why would we need a mind?”

Now… off you go and be happy, huh?

Learning – part I

Meditation Session @ Wisdom and Enlightenment Center

From out of nowhere, an IM from a stranger popped into my screen. This guy had noticed me and Petros at MidSomer and waited till we were gone so he didn’t interrupt us. He was Portuguese himself and a resident of that place, with not much connection to Portuguese communities in-world. A bit of a talk revealed we must have crossed in FL at some point. I can’t remember now exactly how the conversation turned to spiritual matters, but this seems to be a subject haunting me lately (watch out my next article on FreeLife for the first episode of my “Guide to Spiritual Life In-world”).

And that’s how I ended up in a meditation session on “The inner child”. I had seen some advertisements already on this issue in FL – but I usually mistrust these kind of “classes” and I rather discover things for myself.

Being on my own last evening and with some spare time before Porto Proto’s rezzday Party (congratulations on your first year and first week, hehehe) I decided to attend… and holly goddess, it was totally worthwhile. A most amazing experience, where I did indeed met this somewhat boyish girl, her hair cut short, her bruised knees and elbows witnessing her exploring skills.

It was so easy to find her… naturally, as if she had been waiting for me to visit her. I was only half-listening to Hermes’ voice, for in reality I was there with her. At one point, I realised I was already ahead of where he was leading us – while he was guiding us to touch this child inside of us, I ws already sit on the ground with her on my lap and her head resting on my shoulder. I was able to visually exactly where we were, what we were doing, and what we told to each other.

My eyes filled with tears and this sudden calm descended upon me… difficult to express it in words, but very similar to other experiences I have been through that touch me deeply. And all of a sudden, a veil unveiled and I realized so many thing about myself.

And this is why I tend to refuse to call this merely a Second Life. Because it has been teaching me a lot. Simultaneously a small village where we bump into people we have known and a wide wide world full of knowledge ready for us to stand on our tiptoes and grab it.

I’ll be there on the next class – and happy to have you joining me there in case you got tempted as well…

The picture below was taken a few seconds before the one in the previous mail. It proves I had both my boots properly worn 😛 In between both images, I didn’t attach anything else that may have caused the boot prim to vanish… I was too busy taking pictures 😛

Yes, sometimes this may happen when you attach a smile or a hug, for the new prims attach to places that are better fitted for our shoes’ upper parts – in those cases, we do have but to choose what we feel like wearing.

But this, was simply a case of a mysterious disappearing that happened just like that. Ooohhh… spoooky ! hehehe

A special rezzday

Yesterday, my beloved Petros Miklos and his twin Ana Vhargon celebrated their first rezzday. My sis-in-law was a totally sweet (well, she always is hehehe) and let me choose the place – which for obvious reasons had to be the For Us Club in Portugal Center. Mmm… obvious for both of us, maybe not for the world, hehehe. But to cut it short and avoid falling into TMI mode, it was there, during bro-in-law JL’s rezzday that we had our very first very meaningful conversation lol.

So… after M’lord Miklos had been confirmed as a knight of the kingdom we head up to the Club. Ana had invited all the four portuguese musicians to play for us and therefore we were lucky to enjoy a full party that longed for almost four hours. We had Peltzer, orange, TB (double dose yuppieee) and Pa at their best inspiration and the night ended up with the most beautiful blues I heard in many many time.

I can’t tell if it was the music, the environment, or having so many friendly people around – but the fact is that I really had a GREAT time! And so did the rezzday guy I would say, for he was no doubt particularly inspired, and often took my breath away with his more than silly comments 😀 (and yes, with his magnificent translations of lyrics – one of these days I will tell you guys how we have met – it is quite a story, and it only shows how the goddess has a very peculiar sense of humour. I had miss him translating during concerts, and yesterday he did it again… and oh my, how I LOOVED it !!).

Those who shared this special occasion with us already know the motto of the evening, which made me laugh to tears. Because Ana was the one setting up the whole party and contacting the musicians, and because me and Petros were so discreet sending invitations, most people wasn’t aware it was also Petros’ rezzday party. So, everytime anyone would come and congratulate Ana, she would add “It’s also Petros’ rezzday”. The same happened whenever musicians on stage greeted her. Both her and Jl insisted on this, which was totally ignored by everyone – so after a while, it became a GREAT GREAT joke… almost like a line in a comedy, you know ? I don’t know about you guys… but at each greeting I was jumping on my chair, hehehehe

I totally loved it ! Thanks a lot Ana for putting up such an awesome party ! Well… because of you I hardly slept and was cursing you badly this morning. But now that the sleep is gone woooot! I can see it was no doubt one of my best evenings in-world EVER !

The rezzday girl Ana, her new haircut and her new kitten – looove ya sis-in-law mwahh!

Dancing at the sound of TB – and singing – and challenging him to sing, which he couldn’t because he had had a dental surgery hehehe

The final group – from left to right, JL and Ana, the delicious Mr. Blund, Petros and me, Antonius and his fiancee Ssue (I will need another dose of this soon ! hehehe)

Time(less) Ants = ?

Not really a post. Just the beginning of a whole new idea that I still can’t put down in words, it rolls over and over in my mind. At this point, it can be just anything… so let’s just wait and see.

I am proud to announce…

… that my son created his first blog yesterday – weee ! Well, in fact it’s only a project for school and he wasn’t particularly enthusiastic about it. But yay, it’s a historical moment nevertheless, huh ?

So I haven’t been writing a lot in here. Plenty of that on the Portucalis blog, though. Because I had lots of ideas for the islands in-world recently, I focused there – one thing led to another and before I knew it I was back to the RL work/FL work cycle again.

Yesterday I finally had a night-off. Today, it’s my babe’s rezzday (HAPPY REZZDAY, LUV !) as well as his sister Ana’s. We plan to share the moment with our close friends and asked all the four portuguese musicians in-world to play for us – according to the line-up we’re not going to sleep much tonight ahahahah. Tomorrow will be Friday, and another week will be gone. Time runs. Life runs. Do we have to keep running after them ?

Mmm, better try to explain a bit of the conceipt. Remember those old victorian gentlemen clubs in african colonies ? Where they gathered to play chess and read their belated newspapers ?

There’s a smell of recently polished leather around, and particles of dust dance at the golden beans of the sun. Guys in their colonial hats smoke their pipes and play chess and blackgamon…

Besides the OBVIOUS fact that ladies will be more than welcome as well, this is the place I want to set up today in Portucalis, in order to gather there all those table games near O Caneco – but I really lack a name. And I wanted a significant, strong one.

Any ideas ? 😀
